Privacy Statement – OC One

Commitment to Privacy & Transparency

OC One is committed to managing personal information in an open and transparent manner, in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. We will maintain systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and provide clarity to individuals about how we handle their personal information.

No Selling, No Sharing

OC One will not sell, distribute, or share personal information with any other party. Personal information is used exclusively for the purpose it was collected, and not disclosed for any unauthorized or unrelated purposes.

Collection, Use & Disclosure of Personal Information

Personal information will be collected only where it is reasonably necessary for our operations and services.

It will be used and disclosed only for its primary purpose, or a closely related secondary purpose where the individual would reasonably expect such use, or where explicit consent is provided.

Notification at Collection

At or before collecting personal information, OC One will notify individuals of:

  • Our identity, contact details, and purpose of collection
  • Whether the provision of this information is required by law or contractual obligation
  • The consequences of not providing the information
  • Who we may disclose the information to
  • Whether the information may be disclosed overseas, and if so, the likely countries involved.

Security & Data Integrity

OC One will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is accurate, complete, and current while retained.

We will also implement reasonable security measures—both physical and electronic—to protect personal information against unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. When no longer needed, personal information will be securely de-identified or destroyed.

Access & Correction Rights

Individuals may request access to, or correction of, their personal information held by OC One. We will respond to such requests in a timely manner, verify the requester’s identity, and ensure confidentiality during the process.

Cross-Border Disclosure

Should OC One engage providers or systems located outside Australia and share personal information with them, we will ensure they adhere to equivalent privacy protections and compliance with the APPs.

Handling Unsolicited Information

If OC One receives personal information that was not requested, we will assess whether its collection would have been permitted. If not, we will de-identify or destroy that information as soon as practicable.

Compliance & Accountability

OC One will maintain a current and accessible Privacy Policy, incorporate privacy considerations into internal governance, and remain responsive to privacy inquiries and complaints.

We will also stay informed of legislative changes—such as recent reforms strengthening regulatory enforcement and privacy rights in Australia.
